An Afternoon in Reykjavik

Relaxed and soaked after the Blue Lagoon we ambled through Reykjavik for the rest of the day sampling hot dogs and cured shark. Now shark in the Arctic contain nitrogen waste in their blood which acts as an antifreeze. It's also pretty toxic so it's not recommended you eat Greenland Shark...unless you're in Iceland. Icelandic tradition is to allow the shark to rot...I mean cure...and then  dry it and serve it to unsuspecting tourists. Actually Jessica and Madeline were fully suspecting but chose to sample it just the same. I think it might have had to do with the fact that their mom promised them ice cream if they tried it.
On a tastier note we picked up Icelandic yogurt skyr for breakfast. Imagine the best Greek yogurt ever!
Tomorrow we fly out to London!
